Roger Taylor has been coaching leadership teams for over 25 years. As a seasoned consultant, he has coached at all organizational levels—from C-Level and Executive teams to front line work groups. He focuses on developing better leadership behavior and instilling the type of nerve it takes to get people to achieve measurable results.
He provides strategic leadership consulting, team coaching, and training for the corporate, civic, and public sectors. Roger works with leaders behind the scenes and in live organizational situations. His proven system of coaching helps improve patterns of leadership. Roger has developed numerous models and white papers on leadership development—with a clear focus on alignment, team interaction, management, and how emotional resilience matters in leadership roles. He is currently working on a book with his colleague Mary Beth O’Neill entitled “Leading with Backbone and Heart,” and they are creating practical tools to help you develop your leadership presence.
Roger has served on the graduate faculty for the Leadership Institute of Seattle at Bastyr University, where he taught courses in leadership, management, coaching, leading organizational change, performance management, structuring organizational development interventions. At the National Outdoor Leadership School he taught courses in leading mountaineering expeditions.
He earned a Master’s Degree in Organizational Development from the Leadership Institute of Seattle at City University, and is an accomplished musician and band leader. Roger lives with his wife on Vashon Island near Seattle in Puget Sound, and has a daughter in college. He is past President of the Vashon Island Youth Soccer Club, and volunteers his services for several local community organizations.
